I found these questions elsewhere recently, and am curious to know what you might respond with. You can answer all or just some of them too.
Where do you feel: at one with the environment/a sense of belonging?
-A beautiful natural place, mountainous, green, clean air, sunny How do you choose your friends and how do you behave around them?
-I tend not to be choosy. I'm not very "initiating", so my friendships tend to develop with people who are more initiating/persistent. Unless someone is cruel, I tend to be friends with whoever wants the friendship.
-Around friends I can be either a clown and self-depracating, joyously eliciting laughter at my expense (usually for females) or the recipient/audience of such (from males and females) and I laugh very easily. I also love hearing their stories, especially ones involving some sort of struggle/lesson. What have you had long conversations about? What are your interests? Why?
Conversations about: -Relationships -God -Choice of career/vocation/natural talents etc
Interests: -People/human nature, psychology, relationships etc -Spirituality, religion, meaning, personal growth -Fantasy stories (Used to by mythology while growing up)
Why? I don't know....I've just always been interested in them in one form or another right from childhood.
What has made you cry? What has made you smile? Why?
Cry: Hurt feelings of my own and sadness for others (like watching/reading sad stories) or grieving with a heartbroken person. My feelings have been hurt through disappointment, loss and insults or false accusations.
Smile: I smile reflexively unless I am engrossed in deep thought or I'm in a negative mood. I've been told I'm always happy. Which I find weird because for years I used to be told I looked unapproachable/pissed....something must have changed dramatically. Maybe I was always engrossed in deep thought (quite likely!) or in a negative mood (also likely) back then.
Books or films you liked? Recently read/watched or otherwise. Examples welcome.
I like coming of age stories, family dramas, fantasy and stories revolving around friendships or relationships Examples: Gilmore Girls, Being Erica, Parenthood, Mike and Molly, Once upon a Time....all TV. Films: The Lord of the Rings, Merlin (the one with Jeremy Irons), Super hero (The first Spiderman, The concluded Batman trilogy, Amazing Hulk, Avengers), 12 years a slave, All the ensemble Romantic comedies (He's not just into you, New years Eve, Valentines day, What to expect when you're expecting), the Matrix.....Too many to list! Books: Usually non-fiction how-to personal improvement books How do you feel about romance/sex? What qualities do you want in a partner?
Pass! How do you behave around strangers?
I almost never initiate anything with strangers unless I'm playing hostess or I need to ask a question (directions etc). If I'm at an event and not hosting in any way, I never approach anyone I dont know. I prefer to respond.
In what areas of your life would you like help?
Oh, without a doubt: Logistics! Being organized, scheduling, procedures....etc etc etc Also, physical stuff: exercise or manual chores are herculean tasks to me.
Describe your relationship to society. How do you see people as a whole? What do you consider a prevalent social problem? Name one.
I don't really relate to society. I relate to people. I'm interested in humanity as a whole, in government etc, because one refers to nature and also they affect people for good or ill. I have deliberately moved away from spheres moved by charged beliefs, political and moral, for my own peace of mind. I realized having strong views about "what should be done" doesn't necessarily get them done, that I don't know as much as I think I do about what/how things should happen and that ultimately, I just want to be happy. These intense beliefs are simply not compatible with happiness, at least for me. I am happiest when I am open, free, relaxed and trusting rather than strongly charged about beliefs and causes. A prevalent social problem? The assumption that financial success equals happens, ignoring the inner spiritual dimension where people can get resources to be genuinely happy.
What qualities do you most like and dislike in other people? What types do you get along with?
I like good hearts, simply put. I will (eventually) overlook many things if I am convinced of a person being fundamentally a person of good will who takes no pleasure in inflicting pain or harming others to get ahead.
I get along with almost everyone, but I feel there are types that find me annoying or something, display short patience with me. With alphas I feel I can get along without too much conscious thinking about how to relate to them.
OOOH OOOH I LIKE QUESTIONS. I hope someone actually reads this xD
Where do you feel: at one with the environment/a sense of belonging?
On the beach. I have this fantasy that I'm secretly a mermaid or something, so I feel like I belong there. I'm so interested in ocean ecosystems and the secrets of the deep ;3. I love the salt in my hair and the taste of grilled oysters topped with parmesan cheese and a bit of lemon!
How do you choose your friends and how do you behave around them?
I don't really choose my friends as much as a magnetism pulls me towards them. Some people I just bond to, and we become friends. I'm usually the sullen one if my friend is an extroverted sort, and the excited, active one if my friend is an introvert. I try to take care of my friends and make them happy by appealing to their very specific tastes and interests, to celebrate them for being them.
What have you had long conversations about? What are your interests? Why?
Oh, goodness, let me try and remember. Politics is a big one, as well as sociological theory. Social Justice. I am not a fan of people who say that you shouldn't ever talk about religion and politics in polite company because otherwise what else is there to even talk about? Let's talk about important things. Let's shake up our individual perspectives and biases. People who get offended simply because you hold a different opinion than they do are rather stunted in my view. People who are afraid to question their views are the ones that need to be smacked over the head with other perspectives the most, and I'll do that until they either hate me or open their mind. Yeah, I'm kind of a devil's advocate, but only because to be truly authentic someone needs to know why they truly believe something and the only way to do that is for them to question everything and see if they still wind up at the same result.
Interests? Video games, cooking, gardening, reading random articles on the internet all day everyday, sometimes 6 at a time. I like cooking because it lets me experiment and create, kind of like science but I get to eat it. Gardening is similar. All these things let me express my creativity and stimulate my mind. The articles...well go back to that perspectives thing, also I like to know what's going on. I always have this need to constantly fill my mind with new things.
What has made you cry? What has made you smile? Why?
I cried when I discovered someone was cheating on me. Betrayal makes me cry, even if they have good reasons. Bullying. People hurting animals, the helpless and the downtrodden...I can't stand it. I remember the first time I saw someone kill an animal for funsies....I cried and cried and almost had a panic attack imagining the fear and pain of that poor animal. I couldn't breathe. I felt this horrible urgency to help this animal and I couldn't and it was destroying me, so all I could do is cry.
People thinking of me makes me smile. Like, remembering personal things about me, understanding me for who I am. I love seeing random acts of kindness. My daughter makes me smile, she's goofy and cute. People being authentic and weird and not being afraid of what people think about them for it (you know, the cool kind, not the "I'm incredibly dysfunctional and anyone that doesn't like it can just step off" kind of "not caring about what people think". Because that's just cringey and immature.)
Books or films you liked? Recently read/watched or otherwise. Examples welcome.
House of Leaves, Mark Z Danielewski the movie "Titanic" Lots, Lots more but my mind is blank right now! Mostly psychological thrillers, things with multiple hidden meanings and layers to it, with psychological elements. Sad things, dark movies and games. Horror, but not the cheesy gorey kind. Detective mysteries. Love stories!
How do you feel about romance/sex? What qualities do you want in a partner?
For being as liberal as I am, I'm rather conservative about sex, preferring to wait for marriage but I don't judge those that don't choose that for themselves. I don't like dating, either, it's awkward. I just kind of fall in love with people and romance happens. Qualities I'd want in a partner - loyalty, kindness, empathy, intelligence, open mindedness and a calm temperament, as well as a spirit for adventure.
How do you behave around strangers?
If I get the vibe that they're friendly and not stuck up, I'll smile and ask how they're doing! It's interesting, people come to me a lot to ask me for help, and I gladly help them. I find striking random conversations with people is nice because it gives me even more unique perspectives to draw from.
In what areas of your life would you like help?
Not being so socially awkward, I come off as anxious and weird as hell. I'm permanently the socially awkward penguin meme mixed with the paranoid parrot.
Describe your relationship to society. How do you see people as a whole? What do you consider a prevalent social problem? Name one.
I think society is sad, because people are all different and special but spend their entire lives trying be the same. I understand conformity is necessary at times, but when people deliberately try and be like each other and then turn against those that are different...I just don't understand. I think nationalism, patriotism, and rudeness are real problems in society today. I don't like unfriendly people, and people who are pretentious or overly nonconformist or that think they're better than anyone else. People who deliberately hurt others or participate in shady shit.....honestly, everyone needs to simultaneously get over and embrace themselves.
What qualities do you most like and dislike in other people? What types do you get along with?
I guess I cleared that up above! I like people who are silly, friendly and goofy and like to heckle and laugh with me, but I also can't stand it when someone relies on these things too much. I have a friend that once decried my taste in movies and television by saying it was too depressing and sad, remarking "I like happy feel-good things" with a sneer. Well, princess, life isn't feel good and to truly understand the universe we must not be afraid to get serious, to explore the dark and disturbing and occult. Escapism is dumb, I don't like it when people try to escape any feeling or thought.
wow, so much of what you say here matches the psychology of NeFi! From your varied interests and open-minded approach to people and life, to the personal yet philanthropic nature of your ethical concerns, I'd say you're a textbook description of the NeFi type.
I love what you say about cooking.. it really is like art you can eat ^^

Why thank you! I thought I was a Si Fe for a long time and it never fit - I'm so glad I've found the RIGHT type now lol, I can stop being confused.
And yes! Making art with food is the best. Japanese cuisine embodies a lot of this, where the plate presentation and creativity behind the food is just as important as the taste. I like to take that mindset and apply it to all kinds of different foods.
Where do you feel: at one with the environment/a sense of belonging? I feel this way in a natural setting such as near the ocean, or high in the mountains. We live near Lake Tahoe, on the California side, and it is a very special place to me. I also feel this way when star gazing. How do you choose your friends and how do you behave around them? I choose my friends for their compatibility with me. I do not enjoy surface relationships, or vapid people, so I look for people who I feel comfortable enough with, to form deep attachments. I also love anyone who can draw my humor out. That is why I like sort of "offbeat" types, because of the amusement factor. What have you had long conversations about? What are your interests? Why? I have long conversations with my closest people about deeper meaning. In life, movies, music, etc. My husband and I love anime because it is a genre of television that poses many philosophical questions, and we enjoy discussing where we see it leading, and how the characters will be developed. My interests are my family, art, and nature. I'm also nerdy about medical terminology, and retain much of how our biological systems work. It's a bizarre hobby I guess. What has made you cry? What has made you smile? Why? I cry lots. It's embarrassing. I cry when my feelings are hurt, if I see or hear something sad. One of my coworkers lost her father to cancer, and the second she started crying, I lost it and started sobbing right along with her. I'm just a tad sensitive... My kiddos, and my pets make me smile. I love animals!I also get a kick out of harmless mischief making, and find myself amused often. Books or films you liked? Recently read/watched or otherwise. Examples welcome. I just watched the film "Jack and the Cuckoo Heart Clock". It was strange, and sweet, and I loved it. Book wise, I recently read the His Dark Materials trilogy, and though they are books for young adults, I found them very engaging and enjoyed Phillip Pullman's writing style. How do you feel about romance/sex? What qualities do you want in a partner? I'm extremely romantic, in a very private way. My husband doesn't even know how deeply romantic I am, because it's a part of my inner experience which doesn't get shared. As far as sex goes, I am tired of belonging to a puritan society, where everything is taboo, yet on constant display. I'm not a huge fan of our American outlook on intimacy. In a partner, I look for kindness, mutual trust, and shared interests. How do you behave around strangers? I get extremely quiet, or, I go on a tangent of speech, further embarrassing myself. I do smile lots and try to be kind to ever stranger I meet. In what areas of your life would you like help? I have a terrible self esteem and am prone to bouts of depression and anxiety. I would love to have help coping with these. Describe your relationship to society. How do you see people as a whole? What do you consider a prevalent social problem? Name one. Hmm, this is a loaded question. As a whole, I do not trust my fellow human beings. I see many as lacking empathy, and being largely self serving. I love individuals though. I can trust, and like people when I take them on a case by case, If you know what I mean. I have to know enough about people to examine the why behind their complexity and understand who they are as a whole. I would say a huge societal issue that I see is the prevalence of narcissistic tendencies. Reality television really showcases this, though there is nothing real about it! What qualities do you most like and dislike in other people? What types do you get along with? I like people who are honest, yet delicate with the feelings of others. I like people who are imaginative and resourceful, and full of ideas. I despise bullies, and people who delight in bringing others down.

Describe your relationship to society. How do you see people as a whole? What do you consider a prevalent social problem? Name one. I don't understand how people group together socially based on concrete things like race or gender or family. I think social bonds are organic and things that we can choose to create. I think we are never able to see the middle ground on social issues; we always swing too wildly to the left or right.
What qualities do you most like and dislike in other people? What types do you get along with? I hate when people are boring and only want to talk about surface issues like listing all the tasks they need to complete. I like people who are interesting, emotionally open, and artistic.
