oh, the incredible organisms of da world, they can be very mind-blowing! That fungi, zomg, well, biology was among some of my favorite subjects at school (the only more natural/exact science that made me excited) - like, nature is endlessly fascinating and puzzling and memorizing weird names ( even if to never use them ) is cool. 
My two cents that the fungi above is a funky-bubbly NeTi. has got a similar vibe to Thunderbird ->

As such, I think he's the same type, FeSi. Just look at that confident smirk and that Si concerned expression.
