So....cognitive type is not mbti. I see you guys have Feynman and Charlie Rose in the same cognitive type. But what do you guys think about their mbti types? Same or different?
i'm not sure i have much of an opinion about their mbti types.. i think Feynman is commonly considered ENTP, right? I suppose the letter code fits?
CT typings won't match the traditional MBTI typings more than about half the time or so. If it's the JCF-MBTI, then maybe 3/4 of the time they'll match CT? I haven't really done statistics on this though..
The two systems are measuring different things, and mostly only overlap when the type has a strong affinity for their primary function. In most other modalities that types come in, their MBTI will test as something different.
TeNi matches up with showing preference for Te and Ni-Jungian definitions? Or even that doesn't match up? Just trying to get a really fast understanding.
I know the definition of the 8 functions the way Jung defined them. I haven't read tons. But own his book etc. I guess I can better ask the question like this? TeNi for Feynman means you detect more signals of Jung Te and Ni then any other signals in a 1 minute video?
Yeah, that's correct. There are important semantical differences, but in general they're the same 8 functions Jung described.
And there's also the fact that in CT, Te and Ni are simultaneously a psychological and visual phenomenon. And both elements have to be identified to verify a function's presence in someone.

All right. And then, does the two systems remain showing one same quadra functions for one person though not always in the same order, like for example someone being ENTP in MBTI and SiFe in CT ? Or is that strange when people get completly different functions in MBTI and CT ?
I think I would say that same functions, different order is more common than completely different functions, but I couldn't tell you just how much more common. Often people will correctly assess what parts of their brains correspond to functions and guess them properly, but use their attitudes or other personality factors to determine order. Extravert/Introvert is a really common mixup, as is Sensor/Intuitor. But also common is mixing up Te and Fe, or Fi and Ti, or Se and Ne. It's just a different system.
