Collo and I are trying to figure out the correlation between CT and enneagram, and if it is possible that a persons enneagram changes/affects the CT development of subtypes (for example - does an enneagram 4 TiNe create a TiNe- Fe subtype). Or, if the correlation is different altogether.
So please contribute by posting your CT type/subtype along with your enneagram tritype (or at least core type)
Wings and instinct centers can also be helpful. For example: 4w5 Sp/So, 5w4 Sx/So, 9 Sx/So
(we are all aware that these things^ are vague and innacurate but that's the working material we've currently got so while we won't be taking it too seriously, it's still helpful if you give your closest correlations..)
apparently i, as an NeTi, am also some combination of 469. Collo asked me which ones i related to more so i'd say 9>4>6, although 4 and 6 are essentially the same
NeFi Previously 5w4 then 9w1 on that test I got 459 549 945. 7 Sounds like what I would be like if you were to take my internet communication style and put it into real life.
CT: TiNe (Conscious Ti & Ne, Subconscious Fe & Si)
5w4, 4w5, 1w9 - not sure about the sx/so/sp, but I think I lean toward sp/sx.
I took the test and got Tritype 145/451/514, which makes a lot of sense to me as I relate a lot with all of these. I think 5 is my 'default' type, as my first impulse is to detach from overwhelming/uninteresting/unpleasant situations. But I've been very 4 in my relation to the world, being quite prone to feeling 'different' and therefore misunderstood, and to being disappointed in reality due to a focus on idealistic beauty. I've dealt with depression (partially due to the aforementioned 4 perceptions) and OCD for most my life as well, so I've been very 1ish in the detail-oriented, self-condemning, obsessive way.

I tried compiling a short description of each, this might help to determine types by asking yourselves with which you relate to the most in each center:
Gut center:
1 – focus on alignment, error, rules and structure; resentment, rigid energy, constant restrained irritation (think Hillary Clinton), attempt to "civilize natural impulses", nitpicky perfectionism, criticizing others, taking on responsibilities - angry virtue, ("I am the only one doing what needs to get done"), worldview: "the world is chaotic therefore I rigidly aim to organize it into proper order and strive for its improvement", "I know the right way, let me show you", "I must be a hard working ethical person who does what it good and right"
8 – focus on power dynamics, strong vs weak, avoid being dominated, denying/hiding vulnerability, repress weakness in self, appearing in control; vengeance (to "restore justice"), fair/unfair, intense energy, lust, coming on strong, empowering others, people are objects to be controlled or seized, comrades, worse thing is betrayal, thinking big/black-white/all or nothing, worldview: "the world is an unjust battleground where the powerful take advantage of the innocent therefore I must restore justice", "the world respects the strong, I'd rather be respected than liked"
9 – focus on avoiding conflict, keeping harmony, going with flow; indolence, passive, "fatalism", avoidance, comfort-zone, escape harshness of world - numbing oneself to not deal with problems, go along with other's preferences, keep harmony, fear rejection, non-assertive, merging with others, loss of personal identity and boundaries, worldview: "everything will work out if I just go with the flow of life", "every point of view has value so let's not fight", "life is inherently fatalistic/ I am insignificant in the greater scheme of things therefore I renounce all efforts to change things"
Heart center:
2 – focus on relationships, helping others, other's needs; seduction (not just sexual), flattery, pride in "knowing what others need", need to be needed but having no needs of themselves, maneuvering others, give in order to get (often not consciously), worldview: "the world will only give me love back if I give it out first", "others can't survive without me", "I must be caring and help others reach their potential"
3 – focus on goals, efficiency, keeping up high image, praise, honor, glory, success, accomplishments, appearing good in the eyes of others; vanity, charm, must be in a state of "doing" (just "being" is bad/wrong), must excel, vainglory (inflating ones abilities), false self, worldview: "the world is a contest that will only value me if I prove myself a winner through my own efforts", "my worth depends on my achievements"
4 – focus on absence of ideals, search for meaning, depth, longing for (unavailable) idealized experiences, yearning for what is lacked; dissatisfaction, emotional pain/sensitivity, stoic "bearing of suffering", masochism, avoiding mundane reality, embellishing/exploring feelings to avoid feeling disconnection, love at a distance, identity, aesthetics, feeling different, worldview: "the world is inherently deficient therefore I mourn the loss of idealized connection/perfection", "something of essence is missing in life/within myself and I must find it to become complete", "happiness is attained through pain/destruction/confrontation with darkness", "We must understand the deeper meaning of life"
Head center:
5 – focus on avoiding intrusion/violation of private space, accumulating knowledge to fill inner emptiness/prepare for "real life", figuring out mysteries of life; detachment (emotional or other), isolation, secrecy, sensitivity to "overwhelm", schizoid, loner "rely only on self", outside observer, "can't cope with life", postpone process of feelings and thoughts to later when alone/detach from love and expression of strong emotion, knowledge as substitute for relationship/life-wisdom acquired through engagement, worldview: "the world is overwhelming therefore I detach", "I must deconstruct the complexity of life as a way of securing myself with sufficient knowledge", "I will find inner wholeness through isolation/the world is invasive therefore I isolate to find my center", "life is meaningless unless ultimate meaning is found" (nihilism)
6 – focus on what might go wrong, strategizing to avoid anticipated dangers/pitfalls, contradictory evidence may point to hidden agendas in others; fear, accusation of others, skepticism, seek security, being "realistic", loyal commitment matters, courage in the face of fear as a way of countering cowardice, avoiding uncertainty of the world, worldview: "the world is inherently a threatening and dangerous place therefore I distrust and plan for potential hazards", "I must gain security in a world that lacks safety"
7 – focus on what feels good to avoid confronting pain, planning for and avoiding limits on future possibilities, avoid being "trapped", reframing negatives into positives, best-case scenarios, pleasure; fraudulence, gluttony for consuming more (could also be spiritual gluttony), narcissism, entitlement, opportunistic idealism, manic excitement, skip processing of pain, worldview: "If I confront the darkness I will not be able to handle it/it will consume me therefore I stay on the bright side of life", "the world is full of exciting options therefore I will explore them all", "why suffer or wallow in sadness when you can focus on the positive?", "the world is inherently limiting and painful therefore I escape into the light and repress the darkness as long as I can"
These are great descriptions, Bella, thank you for posting! I wonder if it's possible for one's tritype to be in the head and heart without inclusion of a gut type? Because from what you've written here, I relate most with 5>4>6, in that order. I don't relate much with the 1 description, but other places I've read about them describe them as detail-oriented and kind of obsessive. Says they make good editors, which is something I'm pretty good at.
Okay type assessment is finalized as: TiSe-Ti and test result is 358/583/835.
I'm going through a period of obsessive worry about my future, and career, and catching up with my peers etc. I suspect I'm a 5 or 8 actually when I'm not super stressed about that stuff. But the 358 description is much more flattering so I'll stick with it.
I do think that much of my strong 6-ness comes from Te dom combined with high reactivity in the moment (as Riso/Hudson describe the 6 psychic structure as one that is highly driven by reactivity).
