The Si Fetishism of an Ne-lead

This talk by NeTi Adam Savage gives fascinating insight into the unfolding process of Ne+Si when emphasis is placed on Si. Adam is really into objects which represent stories, in fact he describes his life as revolving around these objects and his obsession with them. This is a very straight-forward expression of his Ne's resonance with the symbolic meaning projected onto physical objects from his Si's databank. His proclivity is markedly nostalgic and literal (Si), as he collects things which have historical relevance and deeply researches even the most seemingly irrelevant details of their stories. When he becomes interested in owning an object, he has an obsessive fixation on it being the actual object, or something exactly like it - same measurements, materials, weight, etc. It's as though meaning is lost to him if the nuance of the physical form isn't precise. He talks in the video about his drawn-out creative process while replicating objects of interest, in this I see Ti being utilized by Ne+Si to help capture the desired degree of accuracy.

Near the beginning of the video, he also describes how his first inclination was to model things using pieces scavenged from other objects, 'especially Star Wars' he says. Here we see Ne's associative process at work in a tangible form; originally unrelated objects/concepts are stitched together into a new creative manifestation. But we also see Si's nostalgia in his preference to scavenge and create objects of historical significance.
