The little dude with the eyeball is a Ti+Ne armchair philosopher shade. More generally could apply to Ji+Ne.
While the big heavy guy is some conductor type. More concerned with answers, applications/actions. It really captures the methodological difference in priorities between the reviser/conductor* types.
* i think maybe reviser/conductor can still be used purely as a descriptive term, and not as a definitive dichotomy wherein only two options exist? if JiPe=Reviser and JePi=Conductor, then that can be valid... it just means JiPi and JePe are not considered either conductor or reviser. what do u guys think?
Calvin & Hobbes has a very Alpha feel to it. Lots of "good ol fashioned X vs new fangledy Y" and small town Americana vibe vs Calvin's Ne fantasies. Watterson's notoriously secretive nature reminds me of TiSi Miyazaki, who's also famous for "cartoon" media that addresses childhood, wonder, and nostalgia.
Calvin himself seems TiNe-Ne to me, with subconscious/negative Fe.
Ji resistance/stubbornness:
Fe fetishism + Ne heavy:

So maybe "reviser" is the effect seen by Ji+Pe. Not so much by Ji alone or Pe alone.
And maybe "conductor" is the effect seen by Je+Pi. Not so much by Pi alone or Je alone.
I don't have any suggestions yet on what to call Ji+Pi or Je+Pe. But I'm sure as those shades come into greater prominence, and we have a greater database for those samples, their qualia will become more clear too.
Zweilous - That sounds interesting. I tried to look for an interview of him but apparently he's a total recluse! If he is TiNe, well then that explains why we're so under-represented.
Love those comics Auburn ^^ so very 'outsider', speculative and philosophically deep in the way Ti (esp. Ti+Ne) tends to think.
^ I think you may indeed be onto something, Zweilous . It seems often authors encapsulate some of their own personality in their main characters. Calvin comes across quite like a 'Thinker' TiNe or NeTi. And from those pictures Watterson does indeed look Alpha! hmm.. perhaps he is another of our kind o.o
Not to overlook the discussion on 'reviser' and 'conductor' (I agree that they're good terms to be used generally), but I've something that belongs in this thread Sarah's Scribbles.. I find these comics quite relatable in some ways, I think they very much express the experiences of a (female) JiNe ennatype 4/5.

To me, conductor and reviser are actually the biggest dichotomy. That seems to be the first thing I can spot.
Though Pe will sometimes look like Je to me, I think conductor and reviser is a very and obvious real thing.
Yea, I think we're gonna keep it. Under this revised definition.
It's the kind of thing where if you see obvious Reviser/Conductor energy in people, it'll positively confirms high Ji+Pe or Je+Pi. But one shouldn't try to start typing by forcibly splitting it up into either of the two. Because there are other energies, which are not exactly either of these.
It's a useful term for classification as well. One of our biggest weaknesses (when relating to the audience) is how hard it is to refer to groups of types, since we don't use codes like MBTI or Socionics. Especially those types that are really similar, like NeTi and TiNe. MBTI can just say NTP, but we have "Ti + Ne" which suggests some kind of order and is really user unfriendly. Keeping around terms like "reviser alpha" seems necessary to me in order to group two types that can be essentially the same thing at times.
