I'm like, "Yeah, our society is like a city in which dancers don't respect carpenters and rich people don't respect poor people etc." and you're like, "Yeah, singing fetuses!"
I' m not going to sleep well tonight because of that. I don't even have the words to describe...
"We all ride upon the waves of life, towards the expanse of death, through the nature of beauty. So ride, ride hard, ride towards death with a victory unconquerable. Lash out away from life as does the wind in a sail. Ride on, ride on, into the ceasing of the darkness! Ride into the shelter, seek justice in the beauty, seek power in the life."
You've never seen that vid before chuck ? I think the topic is intentionally jarring/controversial. If you look at the lyrics of the song:
Love, love is a verb Love is a doing word Fearless on my breath Gentle impulsion Shakes me, makes me lighter Fearless on my breath Teardrop on the fire Fearless on my breath
Night, night of matter Black flowers blossom Fearless on my breath Black flowers blossom Fearless on my breath Teardrop on the fire Fearless on my
Water is my eye Most faithful mirror Fearless on my breath Teardrop on the fire Of a confession Fearless on my breath
Most faithful mirror Fearless on my breath Teardrop on the fire Fearless on my breath
It's tumbling down (as in love falling apart) It's tumbling down (as in love falling apart)
It seems to me that the meaning of the fetus becomes clear; it is a representation of humanity's innocence, before our innate desire for love and life is disenchanted by the imperfection of human relationships and the awareness of death. These words in the chorus, "Teardrop on the fire" seem to indicate this meaning as well, our feelings, our precious sentiments, land on the world and are evaporated like a teardrop on the fire. The next line "Fearless on my breath" is quite genius imo, as it expresses how we yearn and chase after that which is meaningful to us despite its futility, but "on my breath" indicates that these desires are yet to manifest - they are the potential in the unborn child.
The description of love as a "verb" and "doing word" highlights the nearly nihilistic realism with which these sentiments are communicated. The realistic fetus has the same sort of effect; this whole work seem an attempt at expressing the tragic reality of the human condition.
Perhaps I should have googled the lyrics. I just couldn't get past that... thing...
Ugh.

The thought of “trolling” never even crossed my mind. I’m hearing that you didn’t like the video and found it disturbing chuck. I find it incredibly beautiful! Shows that there are no two NiFes exactly alike. I’m also kn awe of Alerith description- such a flawlessly articulated summary of how I relate to the video as well
I don't think I got an official vultology subtype from Auburn. But I really don't think there is any such thing as subtypes, to be perfectly honest. Sounds like a chasing after the wind to me.
I just can't get that horrifying image of a singing fetus out of my mind...

I relate to both temperaments. There is not a one size fits all. I would say I like to see myself as sensitive and empathic but i think it’s more of an idealized perspective bc deep down more detached and analytical Then I’d let on to be and pretty content. Auburn typed me as a NiFe-Ti but sometimes I think I’m just plain NiFe.
