We have an overwhelm of activity on Discord (can't keep up with it!) and yet an underwhelm of activity on the forum. Loads of the topics being touched on right now are quite meaty and while I think Discord is great for shorthand content, these more extensive conversations are being lost in the ever-scrolling log. Several members have expressed difficulties with this.
So to remedy this, I've made this board where members can copy/paste noteworthy topics into their own thread to invite a more dedicated discussion free of the scrolling problem and of conversational overlap. In this sense, Discord can act as a catalyst for deeper discussion. At least that's the hope, if this catches on!
A few ground rules:
Do not post personal information (or snippets of a very personal nature)
Keep snippets to a reasonable length and try to highlight the important bits. For example if multiple convos were going on at once, remove the ones not relevant.
Please post in the Compact format. To do so, go to your Discord User Settings, under "Appearance" and click "Compact" rather than "Cozy" to make the content appear in an IRC-esque format w/o avatars. This will make for a much cleaner highlight and copy/paste. Otherwise the format of the copy/paste is very unseemly and hard to follow.
