Hey guys,
I don't know if this is the right forum for this, but before I joined CT, I was involved in Personality Cafe (before deciding it was just too large and hectic for me, I much prefer our nice little community here). One thing I thought was very interesting was the way they typed perception functions based off of how you responded to a picture. Obviously this can very easily be biased by people seeking a certain result, but, since we're all typed by video here, I thought it would be interesting to test whether or not different perceiving functions/function pairs do actually hone in on different parts of a pictures or if that theory just fails. Plus, games are fun, particularly when played in the name of science (or CT...or whatever this is...) So, anyway, here's how this is going to work:
1. I will post a (random) picture
2. Drop in and reply, but please hide your response under a spoiler so that others wanting to give an uninfluenced response can. This can be a quick first impression, a list of words the photo brought to mind, a paragraph or two of reflection or something I haven't considered. Anything goes. Your fist instinct is fine, no need to try and impress anyone here. The point is to see if the idea holds up. The more natural your response, the better.
3. Whoever wants can post a new picture and subsequent posters can respond to any of the previous pictures (within reason, of course. If it's been a month, and somehow this thread is still going, you should probably pick a more recent picture.)
Feel free to let me know if you have any suggestions and thanks in advance for participating!
Anyway, from a random photo generator, here is picture number 1. I've yet to be officially typed, so my response isn't particularly helpful, but I'll include it anyway, to be factored in once I have an official read. Might help avoid confirmation bias anyways. And I think I know my perceiving function pair (Ne/Si), so there is that it can be factored in under.

My eye is first caught by the lamps, with their vivid color and soft, diffuse light. I think it must be an effect of the camera, as everything looks a bit blurred, but I've seen something similar through the window of my car on a foggy day. I'm not sure where this picture takes place, but I'd assume somewhere tropical, from the palm trees. Maybe a hotel or an office building? Everyone seems to be dressed fairly nicely, although it's hard to make out the details of the individual people. This whole picture seems sort of scattered. Maybe it's because I'm not much of an artist, but I struggle to identify a central focus.
