kaleshnikov : I don't have the theory right here, but if I remember it correctly, blinking can be a general sign that the interlocutor is blocking information from outside. However, heavy blinking is more linked to heavy Si (as it is noted here : link). So I would say that a Ni user can occasionally do it, but someone who systematically do it will be more akin to Si, if there is not an external factor (eye sensibility...) and that other signals correspond as well (toggling naive eyes, etc). Hope this will help until a more suited answer. You can check on that somewhere on the site or the forum, perhaps the article list in "Progress/release" subforum.

I posted this in the Si thread, but I will post it here to further our discussion
Will Ni exhibit excessive/non-needed blinking at times? There is a suspected FiSe friend that seems to blink excessively when new information is coming in that affects a world view, but they seem to have the intensity of a Se user when their Pe is being used.
This person also exhibits a Ni zone out to the sides of the eyes, and I've prodded them what was going on in their head, and they said they were making future revisions to certain things. Seems Ni to me.
If blinking was a mark of Ni, would it help support the reading if the blinking happened more when it was a sideways Ni zone out?
