But when it comes to evaluating women's beauty, I'm more objective and aesthetically-focused, probably because I evaluate their beauty from a more rational/detached place.

I clearly suck at reading people, as to me he did look sweet and gentle, with soulful, deep eyes, more like a poetry or philosophy student than a future dictator. Which is a flaw in my perception, nothing more. Which is why it's a good thing how attractive my subconscious finds someone (IRL) is highly dependent on how much I like their personality.
EDIT: And objectively I still tend to find women I personally like more attractive. How good-looking I find someone really does depend on how they act. Which is evidently needed.
@morsecode yes, i think it works with me in a similar way. If you are heterosexual the normal tendency is probably to "skim" all the "candidates" even if they aren't actually really that. With the same sex is different because theoretically speaking you don't have any reason to "choose" one. Mh.. i'm triyng to find a reason for that but i don't know if my explanations is somewhat correct
A ohoh, but he was a poet, he wrote lyrics for russian singers and musicians, gave advices to directors... and wanted to kill John Wayne. I'm not kidding, he was simply mad. Be carefull with all the next dictat... nice guy you'll encounter these days
Heron- Oh god...you mean my intuition was right? And he was still crazy? Why John Wayne? Did one of his songs offend him or was he just a rival to Stalin's favorites?...I'll have to tell my sister to remind me to never date anyone I think looks like a poet.
A in his last years he was apparently a lot into movies. And he liked some american directors like chaplin and some other now i don't remember. He liked a lot also western movies, but hated John Wayne because he was admittedly anticommunist. Stalin found him dangerous for the regime, for some reasons, and sent killers to kill him. They were in L.A. but then stopped the mission, because Stalin died and someone blocked it. Is absurd to think that he was the leader of an enormous country like russia
Heron- It really is...and even more absurd to realize I didn't know who John Wayne was. I feel stupid. I thought he was a singer. And thanks! That's really cool. Nuts, but cool. Soviet Russia was a strange place, but I suppose they were strange times.
