Pool for community EEG (memberhood of the EEG)

Yep. I'm working on a complete write-up, but for anyone curious about the basics, PayPal has a system through which you can send money over email, which I think would be best, as I'd rather not share my credit card information (perhaps to a shared email account created for the purpose, to which everyone has the password). We can either split it evenly or according to what everyone can afford, in which case whoever contributes the most should probably get access first. If split evenly, I'm thinking we'll do a raffle (maybe over video) to determine the order for sending out the EEG. Each participant will initially have it for somewhere between a week and a month, depending on what sounds appropriate to everyone chipping in, and every participant will cover the cost of one shipping (either to or from, whichever's easiest). I think maybe there should be a fully refundable down payment of some sort (not of an unreasonable amount, just something to ensure that no one tries to hoard the EEG, I don't expect it to be a problem and am fine with going without, but, as it is the internet, we should probably have some sort of safeguard). Once everyone whose chipped in has used it, I think we should open it up to new members and the forum at large, perhaps with a voluntary contribution to help recompense those who originally purchased it. I'd like everyone to eventually have access, regardless of finances, but with priority given to those who've paid. All this is up for debate, and I will write something more formal, but these were my initial thoughts if anyone has anything to add. Sorry if some of this sounds a bit paranoid, but I'm trying to make this as fair and as safe as possible. I don't anticipate any issues with the current member-base, but we don't know how things will change as the forum goes and I think it's best to be smart about it from the get-go.

We also need to find a company that sells one, once we figure out how much we have to work with, and I will see about obtaining a copy of either Nardi's book or some journal papers, to get an idea of the procedure.  I have my own basic outline in mind, based on readings and personal theories, but I think it's probably best to defer to the professionals.  I may post both the official procedure and a more open list, to which anyone can add anything they'd be curious to see and compare.
