It's easier to show than describe. :3 Hope this helps clarify a bit. To summarize...
Generally speaking:
Ti Hands: - soft at wrists - soft at knuckles - fingers spread - tight at phalanges
Fi Hands: - stiff wrists - stiff at knuckles - fingers spread - bent at end-joints of fingers
These cues should accompany the others (naturally), but not be used as tell-tale signs all on their own.
Thanks for this! I think my hands are as confusing as the rest of me, as I do bend the joints of my fingers, but also make some of the more classical Ti movements (the fingers pinching bit in particular). But, definitely not pure Ti hands either, which makes me feel a bit more secure in my typing, as that was something that had been bugging me. This is also pretty helpful in typing others, as I'd thought the main difference was fingers spread vs. held together.
Ever since being introduced to the concept of Ti vs. Fi hands, I've been obsessively watching the two people I spend the most time at work with: Someone with FiNe in their dom positions and someone with TiNe. Everyday is like a laboratory experiment. And they follow the script to a T. The TiNe dom is all spindly-fingered, and the FiNe dom sometimes moves her fingers individually but virtually never unstiffens her wrist. Very interesting.
ayoungspirit oh, i didn't received the notification with the tag .__. i don't know, i'm more a staccato-boy
peppergirl is funny that in the video with my brother is completely noticeable the difference in our gesticulations, i tend to make "waves" and "belly dances", while my brother tends to dislocate un-existent things
My hand gestures are not typical of Te or Fi, but look more like Ti. I have very soft wrists and bendy fingers, so my hands are naturally "meticulous". Weirdly, my mother (prob. FiSe) and I both tend to keep our hands like this, as a resting mode:
It's completely unconscious and looks stupid, to the degree that it's our trademark.
While speaking my wrists tend to be very loose, but my fingers are straight and often spread. However, the movements are much hastier (definitely staccato!) than I've seen in Ti-users.

I can't even say what my family does at a resting-state... When we are together our hands are always moving if not just arms folded ohh and I do this A LOT:
Uploaded with ImageShack.us (old pic) & usually when I do it it's like these...

Now that would stem from my Ti process engaging, I believe. However when I am talking I display the Ti meticulous hands quite strongly as well, I just don't know of any other thing I might do at a resting state =o Especially for my Dad (SiTe) Or Brother (NiTe) I guess my Dad just smokes, my brother stands there looking like a giant tower, and I sit there like those pictures up above, while we scope the area out. Lol
