I recently discovered that I had mistyped a number of people. The reason for this was that I had been relying too much on the Se perk-up signal (and some related signals). I thought the perk-up signal was a little more dependable than it really was. But as it happens, it is actually possible for Si users to display this signal (or something similar). Until now I had thought it was mostly SeJi and JiSe types that displayed this signal. But now it seems like SiJe and JeSi types also have it (at least to some degree). This is something we should be more aware of I think.
Most of my typing mistakes have been in confusing SiTe and TeSi types with SeJi and JiSe types. What have helped me the most in spotting these mistakes is to look for both Si scowls and Te brow raises in the same person. Of course now that I know that Perk-ups donβt necessarily mean Se that also helps in avoiding mistakes. I'll try to see if I can post some examples later.

Hmm, interesting. Even in these cases though, do you think there might be some subtle difference? Maybe the differences being that Je users hold their perk up their for a longer duration ?

Maybe. It's too early for me to tell.

One thing I had noticed, is that SiTe's and TeSi's are a lot of times the most energetic types. SiTe's are probably the most energetic reactive type, might be the reason why they do perk ups.

They can be for sure. But I have also seen examples of SiTe that are not like that.

Added Mandy Moore to the examples. I remember being really confused in the past about her because of her many Si/Ne signals together with the perk-ups. But now it all make sense.

It seems more fidgety and less physical than an Se one. The last two demonstrate this especially well. (Judging by gifs only; will be back later for more analysis.)

Holy crap, it's all coming together now! Perhaps what we have here is an example of the "Ne perk up". Ne has loose swaying energy similar to Se of course. Those SiJe/JeSi users are widening their eyes just before perking, so instead of disengaging with Si they're actively engaging Ne's momentum, then as they come back into their Si states(eyes furrowed before freezing) they're trying to dissipate that residue of momentum from Ne, as if they're making an overload of abstract connections too high of a level to what their comfort zone requires. This reminds me of Erifrail's Q&A video about disengaging into Ti with trace of unfinished Fe; looking as if he was planning something truly evil and cunning with that misleading smile he had!
We might have overlooked a possible underlying fact that all Ne users have their own Ne perk ups or Ne way of just perking!
Ne-lead Melonie Mac is creating the same motions without elevating her head, as she isn't back slouching to being with. You may compare this with the SiJe(s) above!
I think she edit a 1sec cutout somewhere in the middle of the left image; however, it still fits for presentation.
