With the publication of the eBook, we have just reached the first of many checkpoints in the long term plans for Cognitive Type. Other models have quite a head start on us, so we've had (and have) a lot of work to do in order to outrun them.
So I'd like to dedicate this thread to the roadmap that I've had in mind, and also to get any feedback you guys would like to offer.

So I'd like to dedicate this thread to the roadmap that I've had in mind, and also to get any feedback you guys would like to offer.
Roadmap
- #1: eBook Publication {completed March 21st, 16}
- #2: Paperback Publication {completed April 5th, 2016}
First announcement of public review -- right when book is available for print. {completed}
- I will be sending a courtesy copy of the paperback to:
- - - Lenore Thompson
- - - Dario Nardi {completed}
- - - Naomi Quenk
- - - A.J. Drenth {completed}
- - - Michael Pierce {completed}
- - - CelebrityTypes Admins {completed}
- - - TypologyCentral {completed}
- We'll finally tell other forums about it + open up readings more - #3: Start the new video series {by May}
- With something like CT, "show" works better than "tell". And although the theory first had to be written down in a concise book form, I think the majority of future media to be produced will come in video format. This series will be professional and will be a walkthrough for complete newcomers on what the signals look like with real samples. Subjects may include:
Part #1: Basics
- - - What judgment looks like {completed}
- - - What perception looks like {completed}
- - - What Ne-Si looks like
- - - What Se-Ni looks like, etc
Part #2: An "Advanced" reading series, including topics such as:
- - - Identifying Development Levels
- - - Je heavy Pe leads
- - - Balanced Types
- - - Telling apart Faux-Fe Seelie from Fe
- - - Persona vs Type - #4: Start EEG Trials + Interviews {by June}
- We will be purchasing an EEG headset. {completed} In the Phoenix AZ area, we'll be announcing free EEG sessions for volunteers who would like to know more about their brain activity, with the condition of being allowed to use the data and video for any future works.
Setup:
Part #1: Interview
- Before the EEG cap is applied, subjects will be recorded for 10 minutes in an interview format. A type will be approximated and then the EEG head cap will be applied for the next step.
Part #2: EEG Examination
- For 30 minutes to 1 hour, the subject will be video recorded alongside their brain activity. We will look for matches between the visual signals of their type and their brain patterns.
Part #3: Video Series
Make 1 video series from the interviews, and another one for their brain activity alongside their video. This may become a DVD series, and will be demonstrated to Universities and research groups. If there is a significant finding, this may be grounds for a second book. - #5: Cognitive Type Practitioner Program {by October}
- Cognitive Type is published under Nemvus Productions, which is a licensed business. As a private business, we have the ability to create a certification program. We're not entirely sure what this will entail yet, but it will be a bit more intensive than an MBTI certification, due to how much there is to learn. Here is what I envision so far:
Program:
- The video series, which will be finished at this point, will be intended for this program. It will work as the primer and likely be the first thing on the syllabus.
- There will need to be some one-on-one training, preferably on-site. This could take the form of a summer workshop? Or a weekend retreat. In cases where this isn't practical, we'd find a way to use Skype/etc.
- But there would be a lot of real-time people-watching. The workshop might travel to a mall or public area and practice in these less controlled settings. This way the teacher could identify what the blind spots of the students are, and focus on those areas that need more exposure.
Being certified in CT would be the first step to producing a wider network of practitioners. If things are done correctly, I can imagine counselors preferring to get a CT certification rather than an MBTI certification.
Goal: To have five or more counselors/professionals certified in CT by 2017.
