By roaming the Internet, I often come around some interesting material which exceeds the boundaries of a static thread. It may be a free software, an accessible library, a new web outlet, or a complete video series for example. It could be called a true modern wealth, but more so if we find a way to share it. Therefore, I thought that having something like a general index would be as much entertaining as it would be useful.
One of the first things I would like to mention is the recent open sourcing of Toonz, the animation software used notably by studio Ghibli and Futurama. I am not proficient enough to delve into it, but given our current interest in video making, this could get some imagination going. Here are a handful of useful links :
Wired.co.uk - Toonz software used by Studio Ghibli is now free and open source
Toonz on wikipedia
Official website - TOONZ GOES OPEN SOURCE
And if you are actually considering to take a more serious shot at animation, here is coincidentally a recent YouTube video about becoming a professional animator : So You Want To Be an Animator - Building Your Career - Extra Credits
Beside, if there is some people who appreciate Science-Fiction writing, the Internet Archive recently acquired the entire run of If Magazine, which includes such classics as James Blish’s ‘A Case of Conscience’, and Harlan Ellison’s ‘I Have No Mouth and I Must Scream’. Here is a general description of the outlet :And here are the links :

If was an American science fiction magazine launched in March 1952 by Quinn Publications, owned by James L. Quinn. The magazine was moderately successful, though it was never regarded as one of the first rank of science fiction magazines. It achieved its greatest success under editor Frederik Pohl, winning the Hugo Award for best professional magazine three years running from 1966 to 1968. If was merged into Galaxy Science Fiction after the December 1974 issue, its 175th issue overall.
