This article got me thinking about how the functions work, and how our dominant attitudes may end up mirroring each other.
From what I've observed, it seems like the Ni-Se oscillation is what constitutes Ne, i.e. Se feeds the Ni with data which it interprets and forms impressions and connections from, Ne. The Ne-Si oscillation constitutes Ni, i.e. Ne scans the environment and interprets impressions from it, almost an instant explanation of the Ni-Se oscillation. The Se-Ni oscillation constitutes Si, i.e. Se takes in the data in it's rawest form, keeping those experiences in mind to be able to do the improvisation thing i.e. Si and the Si-Ne oscillation constitutes Se, i.e. Ne takes in impressions from the environment which Si fleshes out and stores concretely, i.e. Se.
For the judgement functions too, there could be a similar mirroring since Fe types do display doses of Fi when the dominant attitude is introversion and Ti types displaying outward expressions of dispassion when the dominant attitude is extroversion.
It seems like each function is just two sides of the coin and seem to have similarities eg. Ni seems like introverted Ne, Se, like extroverted Si, etc.
So, since our functions have all these similarities, boiling down to the oscillations, general attitudes and hierarchy of the function on the scale of conscious and unconscious, I was just wondering if it'd be possible for this to express itself vultologically, for example, an Ni dominant displaying some signs or signals of Ne when Se is highly developed and vice versa. I think this explains my theory better than that former incoherent mess I posted.
So, here it is:
Using my own type as an example, I want to demonstrate this theory.
How an Ne-Heavy NiFe may develop and manifest:
If an NiFe grows up in an environment where they are forced to mould their personality based on Se, i.e. growing up in an environment where Se is encouraged and actively pursued while Ni is suppressed and discouraged, during this stage of Standard Development where the NiFe still has no idea of what they are, Se will overtake Ni as the normal functioning and be the moulding point of the personality in a bid to fit the norm of society.
However, when the inevitable taking over of Ni as the dominant function when individuation begins, the NiFe will suddenly begin to see life in a very different manner. Due to the previous heavy reliance on what got them through life until the point where Ni took over, which was Se, the extroverted function sensing function will refuse to dive wholly into the unconscious as is the norm, but will rather be influenced by the now dominant Ni, which naturally sees all facets and perspectives of Se data and create a real-time connection generator very similar to Ne, because in actuality, the way Ne manifests is actually a combination of Ni and Se, while Ni is a combination of Ne and Si, as demonstrated below.
Ni infers from Se data, interprets it, filters out trash and stores it in a framework.
Se takes in raw data.
Ne takes in raw data, instantly interprets it, filters out trash and forms an impression or caricature.
Si stores impressions concretely.
The similarities of the perceptive functions is pretty evident here, and even though they do work in different ways, they do essentially mirror each other in many ways, making the conjugation of functions a real possibility.
So, when an NiFe has this conjugation, their stack may look like this:
Ni
Ne
Fe
Ti
Another thing I’ve noticed is that the conjugation only seems to occur with the perceptive functions, and is very rare to have the judging functions conjugating. Maybe this is due to the fluid and open nature of the P functions, which might make them easier to conjugate with other perceptive functions, while J functions are more independent in existence, making the conjugation with their mirrors more difficult. I’m not ruling out the possibility of this entirely but I’m just saying it’ll be harder or rarer to occur.
If this conjugation of functions really exists, it may explain what role our shadow functions really play in our personality. It may also open a new avenue of study and shades of types like an Ne-heavy NiFe, as previously stated, or an Ni-heavy NeFi, or maybe even an Se-heavy SiTe.
Characteristics
These are some signs I’ve seen in myself and some other people I believe to be Ne-heavy NiFe.
-Since the judging function of Fe in the NiFe is concerned with pushing and managing social dynamics, and how easy it is for humor to invoke a rapport or positive feelings, this shade of NiFe with this mastery of the Ni - Se conjugation to create humorous associations in real time almost effortlessly.
-This shade of NiFe will use the Ni - Se conjugation to whittle down all the wide-reaching possibilities of a matter to get one probable, linear direction, making the Ni vision even clearer.
-The vultology of this shade is also worth noting because due to the presence of the Ni - Se (Ne) conjugation, a sort of eye-toggling will manifest. Instead of a pure Ne eye-toggle, which involves mainly the eyes, the head of the NiFe will move in the direction of the flitting gaze of the eyes due to Ni - Se tendency to focus intently on objects. This head-toggle will manifest as they quickly capture data from the environment and interpret it.
-Due to having both Ni and Se developed, the peripheral vision of this shade will be very sharp and active, as is typical of an Ne type.
-Due to the conjugation that has taken place psychically, the Ni zone-out will take a different shade. Instead of a total zone-out, where all energy seems to leave the body in the direction of the gaze, due to the previous reliance on Se, the Ni zone-outs will accompany a physical anchor to reality in the form of some completely unrelated Se activity like foot-tapping of finger-tapping, peripherally scanning the environment and focusing on nothing, etc. and the full access of Ni won’t be consciously possible without this.
-When this shade raises their eyebrows, their eyes suddenly look very Ne in appearance, maybe a subconscious indicator of the conjugation that has taken place in the background?

When I raise my brows.
-Due to the Ne conjugation, while this shade speaks, despite being a Pi-lead, they will oscillate between bouts of inertial energy (being more evident due to Pi-leading) and buoyant energy (evidence of Pe being invited or used) and this is indicative of the internal conjugation that has taken place in the background.
-One particular thing I've also really noticed in myself, but have not really been able to explain is how my Ni predictions take shape. Usually, I get an inner feeling or sense of how things will play out, and I'm usually very certain or confident in it. However, my brain is usually not completely satisfied until I do my weird ritual. I usually relate predictions to other predictions, in a series of 'what ifs'. Like, let's say someone hasn't contacted me in a while. My brain would tell me that they are probably just busy, but I won't be completely satisfied until I have my what if answered, so like, I'll say in my head, if the person really is busy and not just ignoring me, then a pigeon will fly by the car window in the next ten seconds. And depending on the outcome, I get my Ni answer. I've found this to be a way to consciously access my Ni, and it has worked so well, i've been using it for years now. Not sure if this is an example of the conjugation or something else completely.
This is a theory I’ve been mulling over for months now, and finally was able to put some tangible flesh around it because this is certainly something I have observed in myself, and in others who have a similar upbringing as an NiFe in a very Se-heavy environment.
