hmmm...i'd probably retract that last bit about which functions are conscious. That's not so clear to me now.
As for her type, NiFe still feels right, but I see a few other possibilities (TiSe or NiTe maybe). Specificity is difficult...probably because i don't know what i'm talking about
For me she has Pi-lead energy (viscous, lax, meandering)...is also very rambly and tends to speak from her worldview. The format of this interview may be exaggerating this a bit tho. Se-Ni perception functions seem obvious.
Fe-Ti is not as clear to me (probably about my confusion over judgment functions in general and not about Lauryn Hill individually), but i see more indication of that set than Te-Fi. She seems to neutralize emotion when she engages Ji, makes delicate Ti finger poses, exhibits lukewarm on-point Fe pushes, stop-start articulation, etc. She's very focused on community, on family, on relationships, on how people can help or hurt one another; she heavily considers the hive-mind (Fe). However i'm seeing some asymmetrical expressions and quasi-snarls that are throwing me a little.
She talks a lot about fate, about God, about there being no accidents, about things falling naturally into place in a very typically Ni>Se way. She also uses a lot of metaphors.
