*just some preliminary notes/scraps... nothing solid*
*but i noticed we had little info on the subject, so i thought i'd share some scraps i've saved along the way*
Dark Fe
Dark Fe doesn't believe in grace; it believes in retribution and the fairness that comes with properly balancing emotional economies. The role of dark Fe is multi-fold, but the essence of it is to rebalance the scales when economies are being taken too lightly, or when one is expending one's energies too carelessly for others. It's the selfish aspect of Fe that defends itself from the exploitation that light Fe is far more susceptible to. But even dark Fe is tied intimately to others, to their opinions, to reciprocity, to the economies of groups, etc. It can only have what it wants through a dance/collaboration... and if others participate with them in balancing those scales.
Shaming
- Regulation of emotional economy, status, and respect
- In order to maintain Order among the tribe
- a reputation is at once a reflection of what you are, because it's a legitimate feedback given to you by the culture.
- and so, negative feedback demonstrates you're in the wrong. shame is a social-regulation tactic, that is life-honoring at core
- it's seen as 'necessary' and accepted, even though shame is undesired
- shame is modulated by pride; pride is warranted when the tribe acknowledges your abilities and value
Hit Me / Retribution
Pride; above all, dark Fe is prideful.

It would rather take punishment deliberately, than be the one in the wrong. It wants to stand on the right side of judgment's blade -- and that can manifest as being hostile and defending their ego, or even asking for retribution in order to rebalance the scales if they're the one in error. Dark Fe is willing to get physical, as a (last) resort. More on this below.
'Leveling' in the Truth
- doesn't like apologies ("stop saying you're sorry!")
- likes shadow-wrestling, getting it all out
- only trusts the rawness of other's darkness.
- distrusts the Light, because it's forced and untrue. it's hiding the reality of true sentiment
- true sentiment is bleaker, but should be accepted
- Dark Fe exists within this bleak sentiment of others and reality
- Part of that hit/hit-back dynamic also comes from "leveling"
- Wanting to teach each other a very somatic lesson
- And also 'balancing' emotional economies using physical=emotional pain translations.
- Also, to see/feel the other's true emotions, intentions and passions (and anger)
- Motif:
- - - [matrix: you don't really know someone until you fight them]
- - - [naruto: you really know someone's heart once you cross firsts with them]

- Have a spine, so I can hit you.. without feeling like even more of a cruel Idiot!
- You're supposed to hit back! That's how this game works! I can't respect someone who won't fight back.
In Love
- In love, wants a love/hate relationship -- one that's not shrinking away from the angers we have towards each other.
- One that can incorporate that friction into daily lives, because we both have egos that stand up for themselves.
- And thus, respect is established between us, by the fact that we both shame back whenever we're shamed unjustly.
In Myth
- Wants someone to be shamed by, so they can grow.
- Wants a rival. Wants someone to combat against.
- Wants someone to humiliate them, so they can know where their weaknesses are.
- They don't want someone who can't poke them in the weaknesses -- because then they just stay weak and end up finding out about their own inadequacies in the worst possible moments, rather than preemptively. which could be alleviated if preparations and corrections had been done beforehand.
