Great vid Mike!!
Very insightful as to the nuances of your framework and how it comes together.
Right. Believing in focus, in discipline, in accomplishing your aims and working hard... doesn't have to go hand in hand with wanting to be a show-off, wanting to get ahead in spite of your fellow man, and play a 'winner take all' competitive game for the top seat. It's entirely possible to be motivated, dedicated, even zealously impassioned to one's personal life goals - while not crossing those unethical lines.
I also agree with teatime about King as protector of the people, making sure the plebs are being treated right, and how Te can also be a provider of a Just and noble Rule. We can't escape the need for a 'head' (president/king/ceo) of any institution, but we need that person to be reliable and on our side.
I think, though, that your main issues may therefore lie with the dark side of Edar - and i'm sorry I only recently communicated the dual sides of Edar, as it wasn't entirely clear for me either. The 'corrupt king' who wants to play power games, and pillage the poor to feed the rich. More money going to the 1% etc. That's not all Edar is.
"Make America Great Again" <--- y'know what just hit me, is this phrase is a type of cry for the glory days of America that were indeed the result of Edar when in a healthier state. If you think about it, America lead the rest of the industrialized world with its economy, it's technology, its innovation, industry - and did so in a more fair way before. That still arose from the American Dream, which is the beautiful side of the meritocratic myth: "you can be/do anything you want, if you work hard at it - the sky's the limit"
But somewhere along the way, America fell from their own power and into a darker avenue. Consumerism has increased, 'the-next-iphone' syndrome, fast food chains that grow in revenue despite causing social harm, deregulation of banks, wars for the sake of exploiting oil. Maybe it's not that Edar is evil, but that the country right now is in need of some ethical balance between Te & Fi.
I actually wrote something about this in the King/Princess post, especially this bit:

I actually wrote something about this in the King/Princess post, especially this bit:
The king, on the other hand, so used to ruling may lose himself and his morality along the way. As more and more difficult decisions demand of him a choice – often between two bad options – his integrity wanes. It becomes easier and easier to make sub-par decisions as those in the power-game find greater and greater exploitations. If he is not revitalized by the questioning spirit of the princess, his uncorrupted daughter (Fi), then his kingdom will fall along with his integrity.
