I literally have no idea what the first video is even trying to say.
Here's a more infJ song for you:
"necklace of hope..." NI!!!!!!!!!
"We all ride upon the waves of life, towards the expanse of death, through the nature of beauty. So ride, ride hard, ride towards death with a victory unconquerable. Lash out away from life as does the wind in a sail. Ride on, ride on, into the ceasing of the darkness! Ride into the shelter, seek justice in the beauty, seek power in the life."
This is the same song with two different sets of art. I like both. What it says to me: deep, deep yearning and longing for something greater, profound, to be transformed by love into love.
βIf every tiny flower wanted to be a rose, spring would lose its loveliness.β
Is this seriously the kind of stuff INFP's listen to? Ugh. This stuff is just nasty.
Now this is some REAL music for the NiFe's out there:
And here's some Ni stuff:
"We all ride upon the waves of life, towards the expanse of death, through the nature of beauty. So ride, ride hard, ride towards death with a victory unconquerable. Lash out away from life as does the wind in a sail. Ride on, ride on, into the ceasing of the darkness! Ride into the shelter, seek justice in the beauty, seek power in the life."
chuck , hehe the way you're forming a group mentality (INFP vs INFJ) based on observed differences in tastes is so very indicative of your type! I think there's a reason Betas - especially NiFe and FeNi - tend to become the leaders of movements and groups. Fe judges social character and Ni notices thematic patterns, and this manifests as a system of stereotypes when it comes to people and groups. Fe also likes to occupy the 'moral high ground', so there tends to be a sort of pride invested in being part of one's own group/stereotype. We see this Fe+Ni dynamic play out in everything from Martin Luther King's anti-racism movement to the formation of and competition between street gangs.
Hey, speaking of this^^ sometimes I think Ne has something like this faux-groupthink. But in that case it's like a momentum thing, getting caught in the flow of things when those "things" are happenings in a group. Also, like a short-cut people-reading/vibing that seems like stereotyping (more like lazy pattern-recognition in Ne's case). I used to think that was Fe before.
βIf every tiny flower wanted to be a rose, spring would lose its loveliness.β
Aqua - Yes. And in addition to the pseudo-Fe vibe reading/associating, Ne makes it easy to simulate a persona. I recently jotted down why this is, here. It's a side-effect of Ne's imitation abilities. Particularly the lower bit:
At a more functional and less recreational level, this gives the Ne user the ability to be adaptive and construct personas in social situations. If they are driven to assume a certain professional or social role, they may seamlessly be able to play the part. This can sometimes become a longstanding act, as they use the persona for months until the Ne user may even forget that they assimilated or constructed the character in the first place.
Ne imitation - vs - Fe adaptation
This is why NeFi's have a "faux-Fe", especially if they're seelie. Seelie Fi + Ne imitation creates a pseudo adaptive Fe effect.
OMG!! That^^^ is so me right now!!! I put on this "skit" as you describe it for my work and now Im sort of stuck in it and I dont know how to let people know I was just getting along. By the way, EXCELLENT article! Man, if you guys keep the quality of descriptions of functions and types to the same level you have for Ne and NeTi, it'll be awesome, truly!
Here's another Ni song. Let me give you a hint - the song has NOTHING to do with a car...
This one is so Ni Fe it hurts.
This one's pretty deep.
Now this is the epitome of the Ni-Fe perspective.
"We all ride upon the waves of life, towards the expanse of death, through the nature of beauty. So ride, ride hard, ride towards death with a victory unconquerable. Lash out away from life as does the wind in a sail. Ride on, ride on, into the ceasing of the darkness! Ride into the shelter, seek justice in the beauty, seek power in the life."
leeleechirps2.0 Holy cow that middle one is so freaking weird! I'm gonna have nightmares about this! A baby singing a song in the womb??? WT*?!?!?!?!
And the third doesn't even have any words to it. I don't get it. I mean I guess you can say that the artist is trying to communicate ideas through the music itself, but... meh.
It seems like there are these rare songs out there that I just totally get 100%, and then there are these other songs out there that are just plain WEIRD and scary almost, which are beloved by other people who seem completely normal.
Same for anyone else?
"We all ride upon the waves of life, towards the expanse of death, through the nature of beauty. So ride, ride hard, ride towards death with a victory unconquerable. Lash out away from life as does the wind in a sail. Ride on, ride on, into the ceasing of the darkness! Ride into the shelter, seek justice in the beauty, seek power in the life."
leeleechirps2.0 Are you trolling? Seriously. This stuff is just massively unsettling. That middle one...
