I don't really know myself, so I wanna try this out too. I do believe cognitive type is innate and from the twin-study thread it would appear to be genetic as well. It would be ideal if we could find celebs who have baby footage and see if they display their same signals when younger as when older.
I watched my nephew grow up and I could tell he was Fe-lead when he was about 8 months old. His smile was adorably wide and connected to the audience. He was very responsive/sensitive to attention and would demand it by throwing a tantrum if nobody was around. He'd smile from ear to ear as soon as he saw you enter the room, and frown the moment you'd leave. And now that he's 3 he still has the same personality and personable orientation. I may be able to dig up some family films of him later.
The family has kept uploading videos of them since they went viral, and now there's videos of them where their processes can be seen clearer. I think Harry has Te articulation high up. And I think Charlie is NeFi.
anyway. Kids react is such an awesome show , in Jake i can definitely see Te, is quite similar to Piers Morgan. I can surprise you, but i can't stand Lia . her moves are very similar to the ones my little brother does
I'm certain that CT can be read in the youngest of people. Particularly, parents and other close attachment figures can be taught to read their children's type during sensitive periods of development, including the pre-verbal stage.
My children's personalities have remained relatively constant since birth(they are 8 and 2), and this is what I have seen in close proximity to other children as well. I think that CT is stable throughout the lifespan.
Since birth my oldest has been incredibly proactive. From the moment he opened his wide eyes, he appeared ready to take on the world. He looked all around the hospital room, interested in everything going on around him. Highly intelligent and intense, I knew he'd be a ride for me to keep up with once he started walking. The energy within him seems endless and radiates outward. He's quick to tell his friends what to do(what's right and wrong) and direct activities. He's also incredibly sensitive emotionally(noticed this around 6-months), and it's something that I have to remain conscious of all the time because my words can sometimes be too harsh for him. He cried as a young toddler when a relative told him, quite politely, that he'd done something he wasn't allowed to do. He has never liked to offend , break rules, or be in any way "out of line", and he monitors and corrects the behavior of others too("buckle your seatbelt" "you're not supposed to....").
From birth my youngest was reactive. Also very intense, but the intensity is within and radiates through his eyes versus the whole of his physical self. He began reading people before he could walk, and is skeptical of a stranger's intentions, locking eyes with them and never looking away, intimidating even strange adults. He's cautious and slow to warm up, and particular about who he wants in his circle. He rejects people easily, whereas my oldest has always accepted and been warm towards anyone. People outside of our family would see him and always think he was angry, or unhappy, although he's the most giggly, fun-loving and joyful of children. His physical energy, even at two, is much easier to keep up for me than my oldest. He's emotionally contained and steady--until he's not, and then the intensity moves with a roar. And where my oldest has a difficult time sometimes figuring out what he wants, my youngest has never suffered this dilemma and is so far unwavering in his decisions.
So, yes, these things are recognizable in young humans too. I believe my oldest is either FeNi(this is what I though for him at about 2-years old) or SeTi and my youngest either NiTe(thought this when he was around 1) or FiSe.

Ni/Se eyes for sure. Less sure about his judging functions, however. I'm not as good with those yet, but perhaps Fi/Te? He looks like he's evaluating the world and doesn't like what he sees. I'm not sure CT can be read that young, as I do think people change as they grow (I think, from both what I know of biology and my own observations, dramatic changes in early teenagerdom are fairly common), but that could simply be a constant type manifesting itself in different ways as its user matures. Or could be a nature vs. nurture thing. I guess we'll have to wait and see. Either way, this should be fun.
ayoungspirit, you were such a cute baby, I actually recognized your features on this picture! How were you like? Do your parents remember how you used to behave as a baby?

Shivaree : Hm, I believe it would require a proper investigation, but some stories are more significantly recurrent than others. My mother told me that I was a very quiet and contemplative baby, with a good temper except for the first few months, during which I was sickish, probably due to being premature. I enjoyed a lot being walked around in the stroller, and would stare at her with a perplexingly blank face if she were to stop, until she started again. I may have written that somewhere else, but when rendered at home and put on the carpet layer, I would carefully examine the fabric and pick up some fibers to observe, between my little fingers, in a very serious and delicate fashion. That should give you an idea

If I compare to other babies I've known, that's already quite a "differentiated" behavior, very early in life! Could this concern about carpet fibers be related to the emergence of Ti? I'm wondering if our behavior as babies is coherent with our types as adults, from a retrospective point of view. So I would be happy to collect other member's stories, too! Would it be a good idea to open a thread in order to discuss that question?

Shivaree : it's a bit early to say, and we know that retrospective interpretation is easily biased, but it is truly an amusing coincidence, and you can guess that I meant it. Otherwise, I see no harm in collecting personal reports, go on !
