Just a few notes I wish to throw as well in the arena, sorry if it is redundant to some of the previous findings :
It may be interesting to consider that Si as well as Ni are said by Nardi to provoke the same flow attitude characterized by a synchronized neocortex activity and emission of Delta waves, although in different circumstances. One activates when thinking about the past experience and one when envisaging the future. He also indicates that memory is seated deeper in the brain, probably near the hippocampus like Goleman also suggested, and that the region C3 and C4 only "upload" it to the consciousness.
It would not be surprising to me in this context that the difference between the two functions was also to be measured in these regions invisible to the EEG, and correlate with the Cognitive Type description of the perception pairs more clearly than with the neocortex regions activation. For example, while Si types are said to rely a lot on precise memory of the past, they do not systematically show strong activity in the C3 and C4 region, but more likely rely on the blue state as a form of memory and anchor like the Ni types, perhaps not only to obtain a more holistic access, "mapping" of the neocortex, but other structures of the brain as well. Similar additions could stand for the listening capacity of Fi types and the domains of expertise I guess.
