CT is more of a theory that tries to describe how the brain takes in, processes etc information. MBTI is a personality theory. If it helps, try to not think of MBTI based on functions, but rather each type being their description with no functions. CT is based entirely on the functions and how they work. There is definitely no set personality or behaviour for each type. I'll just randomly throw in that the descriptions of functions all over the place are rather inaccurate due to stereotypes of MBTI types.peppergirl you know what's interesting is that my first video where you saw more Fi, I really think that came down to a restrictive environment in that the chair I was in order to make the video was not comfortable, so if I moved (as I noticed.. I sway.. a lot.. I wonder how that comes across in real life..) I would hit the sides of the chair, so I was more 'forcefully contained'. To think because of something so small... The other video I made I was in a more expansive environment.. no restrictions. That could have something to do with it. I made the other video because Fi is something I'm able to recognize, but I don't think I'm an Fi dom, as that didn't fit with me.. then I realized I had been restricted so I wanted to see if it changed when I changed my environment.. I also just realized (since I'm going own Se, as it makes sense to me) the 2nd video I was staring out my windows and the 1st one I was staring at the wall.
I looked into the SeFi sanctum.. and it's empty, unfortunately, I'll add to it, haha. I'm happy to hear both you and L say to basically unlearn what I know of MBTI, as I thought that's how this worked.. but then questioned it. Thanks so much for your insight as well, it's very helpful.
thewildpapillon "Oh hi! I also appear to be SeFi with heavy Ni... I always tested as an NF in MBTI, including my "official" test. I see it very clearly though, I've noticed SeFi has a very unique kind of character to the sassy swaying of their Fi, kind of "extra sassy", with a very determined quality ^^; I notice you also speak kind of low in your voice, something we have in common. Anyway, I also have a hard time identifying with Se lead, but I guess it must be because of the ill informed stereotypes."
Hello! I also always tested as an NF, and still using that system I would say that I am, using this system.. I really do agree with SeFi for me.. after thinking it through and being more mindful of what I notice and what causes 'flow' with me.. you (I) can feel it, as well as talking with starlit7 (because she's amazing and articulate), I think I understand my Se more. For years I thought I was an Ni dom, and honestly at times I know I am (Se/Ni oscillation), but that's the nature of the oscillations.. and one of the things I find the most elegant of this system... Se/Ni feeding one another and working together to pick up on the world.. spinning together... it's lovely.
An example for me.. I'm not particularly tactile but I realize I am very much influenced by my surroundings.. I am always 'doing' something with my brain.. unfortunately the descriptions for Se lead one to believe that it's 'sporty' 'tactile' 'sensational pleasure' which I don't notice or particularly relate to.. what I DO notice is my enjoyment and just how much of a role Se DOES play in.. me... Example: I wake up naturally every morning before my alarm goes off and feel the time, I immediately check my phone for emails/new information on whatever, get out of bed, and go to the computer to read things while drinking coffee.. That to me is a snippet of how my Se fits into my life.. the outward sensory (visual/ auditory/mental stimulation) info that makes me happy is Se in me, just lying in bed... would seriously annoy me. Just a short example. When I have more time I'll write up some things for the poor empty SeFi sanctum.
Thanks everyone! **ah-ha moment complete**
