I haven't had time to take a thorough look at the signals. My initial impression is that both of them are either SeTi or NiFe, leaning towards NiFe for both. I think I see the "viscous" quality of the Pi-lead for both of them (I've been obsessing over Pi signals for the last couple of days trying to learn to recognize them).

Hmmm.. I see Amanda Palmer as a Se/Ti, she has the Pe lead energy, the Se lock-ons. Her face goes back to neutral pretty quickly, Ti. She's the contained animation I see with SeTi.
Neil Gaimen.. I'm unsure of him, but to me, he seems Ne/Si, he blinks so much, always, in any interview I've seen. In different interviews as well, his eyes are softer in their sockets and 'sweep' his environment. He seems to be a Ji lead, I could be sold on TiNe. Also, his age and interview experience.. to all the readers, should be taken into account?
As always, I'm still learning, so I am very open to being wrong.
Edited to add: WOULD IT NOT BE SO COOL IF NEIL GAIMAN AND AMANDA PALMER TURNED OUT TO BE THE SAME TYPING?!?! Like, totally cool and totally unexpected.
Lx I was totally surprised by Neil Gaiman being NiFe, and also thought he was a Ji-lead at first, especially with all the blinking, but there are undeniable NiFe-specific cues!
So, yes, you're right about how much he blinks, and this threw me off too at first, but if you watch him without focusing in on anything in particular, the most striking thing about his presentation is his hypnotic eyes, which oscillate between locked-on stares (which usually involve lots of blinking, but stay locked-on) and side-drifting/searching.
The hypnotic eyes (having the top eyelid falling over the eye slightly and remaining at that latitude, whilst the bottom eyelid remains peeled back) (see 07:51-07:58 for a close-up of this) is a unique signal of NiFe, as is the cunning smile (Fe/Ti + Ni/Se), which Neil does at 02:38, 08:07, and has a hint of at 04:08 and 07:40.
The locked-on stares are a Ne/Fi trait, although I'm not sure whether they are specifically Ni or Se because in the Basic Cues document it lists them as Ni, whereas at the beginning of the NiFe document it lists them as Se. You can see Neil do these in abundance, but here's some time-stamps: 00:09-00:11, 00:15-00:16, 00:28-00:29, 01:46-01:47. He also does a number of long locked-on stares, such as at 03:02-03:09, 06:30-06:42, and 07:40-07:49.
The side-drifting/searching can be seen throughout, some timestamps are 01:35, 02:08-02:11, 02:31-02:34, 02:59. Notice how his eyes also appear zoned-out? That's another Ni cue. There's a lot of zoned-out eyes in the locked-on stares too.
The frequent side-drifts are a Pi-lead cue, and, although I find this cue hard to determine cuz of my rookie-ness, I see demonstration of eye-centricicity (possibly my new favourite word), for example at 01:36, and 07:52-07:59.
A few other cues I picked up on: - penetrative scowl (Ni/Se) at 05:57 (eyes stay intense underneath furrowed brow) - head swing at 01:49 -- is this Pi-lead viscosity? - momentum halting (Ti) at 02:08, 02:58
And! I think he has Bruce Lee's Fe warming anger in the way he speaks! Though I am too brain-dead right now to go back and look for timestamps :/
But yes, I am totally convinced he is NiFe.
Haven't yet looked at Amanda Palmer, will come back to her later!

Check out Neil's viscous swaying at the beginning of this video!
And check out 04:16-04:20, where he's talking to AP, smiling, and yet his locked-on eyes seem to be staring through her, that cunning smile at 04:15... and that crazy Cheshire Cat grin at the end!
