First of all, I would like to thank you for the appreciation of my previous articles, it was very gratifying to be useful.
From there on, it occurred to me that the forum could benefit from a more involving endeavor. As it is, some of you may feel they do not have quite the time or expertise to redact a full article, but would like to take part in the research, or simply test their skills, past the point of commentary.
I infer this aim could be swiftly achieved by breaking down my procedure, under the tagline Work-in-progress, which I will place as a header for each subsequent thread.
Work-in-progress is intended as a three steps opportunity for learning which relies on practice, discussion and production. Members of all experiences are incited to suggest a celebrity they want to examine, in a dedicated thread. Then, they will gradually determine the type and the development of the selected individual, under the supervision of the lead author. The material will be summarized and redacted as a define article which will be published on the main website, as usual, for everyone to enjoy.
By proposing this feature, I hope to make contribution more accessible and decisive. To better understand how it is supposed to work, here is a set of guidelines. Feel free to offer your suggestions on this section as well.
- Every contributor to the thread, however laconic or off-track, will be mentioned on an equal footing, in the format of their choice : name, pseudonym, anonyme. Forum pseudonym will be the default.
- Supervision of the lead author amounts to direction, coordination and redaction. Depending on feedback, the volunteer will proceed so as to display a tangible article at the end of the time-frame. This formula is applied so as to consistently build the database and go on with new assessments.
- Any member will be able to take the leading authorship at any point if they intend to, and if they complete the work within a set delay, of about a month. If not, the initial author will be allowed to complete a temporary or definitive substitute.
- Any remark is welcome, not necessarily the technical, or the relevant. Any detail speaks of the people involved, and it will be integrated to the body of text as best as possible. There will be a link to the draft, so as to encourage freedom and exchanges.
- If you feel like it, you can advise some arrangement for the text. Videos, pictures, or even diagram are welcomed, drawing even, anything you come up with. Press articles, whether online or not, can also be an interesting addition.
For the first and demonstrating outing, I will use my scraps of an article, and recommend Gabby Douglas. However, I will create a second thread soon for you to make your own submissions of celebrities to tackle.
Here is a filmed interview to start with. What do you think of her ? Do you have some idea on her type ? Are you familiar with her persona or field ? Have you practiced gymnastics yourself ? Be my guest and search for more.
