This is a forum mini-series aimed to elaborate on some of the quotes found in the CT book.
Lets start with NeFi Robin Williams, as described by FeNi Oprah Winfey:
Oprah is exactly right here. Robin Williams had such high energy that most interviews of him are a type of play. His Ne is hyperactive and constantly drawing associations in the environment.
This also showcases how "real-time" Ne truly is. Associations are entirely situational and as one environmental variable prompts a concept in mind, a whole enactment comes into their mind from all the things this is associated to. These little enactments will surf off of memes and references from any recollections available.
Now, I felt silly about referencing this movie in the book, but it truly is an iconic representation of Ne. This is the best quality scene I could find on youtube but I hope it gets the point across.
Like Oprah, the Unicorn is trying to be serious and learn something from the little Ne Lead butterfly, but the butterfly -- like Robin Williams -- is far too busy surfing off of the concepts in the present and tying them to Si anchors. Here we also see the place Si plays in giving Ne ammunition from which to leap from one thing to another. Here is a written dialogue of the Butterfly's song:
When an Ne type child is young and radiant, this divergent association can indeed be quite exhausting to others, as it's slippery to get a grip on their psychology. When talking to some variations of NeFi, one might feel like nothing being said is truly connecting. But the NeFi is actually a data sponge, and will likely remember everything said, but simply have too much momentum to slow it down for that specific occasion.
The externalization of Neβs associations will not be dialectic or resolute, but expressive; a direct translation of the unguided impressions at work. They will manifest as a parody of the hypothetical situation that exists in their mind at the time; a miniature enactment of the drama or novelty of the interrelation.
Cognitive Type, ch.11
A single word, a sound, or scenario may spark a meme into thought and then the meme is immediately enacted, like the singing of the butterfly in The Last Unicorn (1982) film by Arthur Rankin Jr.

"Robin is one of those people where there is no such thing as an interview - forget about that. Because he's playing off of every single thing that you say. Every movement. The way you look. What you're wearing." - Oprah

BUTTERFLY: Wave the flag for Hudson Highborn, show them how we stand!
...I am a roving gambler; how do you do?
UNICORN: Hello, butterfly, welcome! Have you travelled very far?
BUTTERFLY: How far would I travel, yessir! - to be where you are? ...Clay
lies still, but blood's a-rover. Red Rover, Red Rover, let Charlie come over!
...Won't you come home, Bill Bailey, won't you come home? ...My wild Irish
rose. (Embraces her horn.)
UNICORN: Be a little respectful, butterfly! Do you know who I am?
BUTTERFLY: Excellent well, you're a fishmonger! You're my everything, you
are my sunshine, you're old and grey and full of sleep, you're my pickle-
faced, consumptive Mary Jane!
UNICORN: Say my name, then. If you know my name, tell it to me.
BUTTERFLY: Your name is a golden bell hung in my heart. I would break my
body to pieces to call you once by your name!
UNICORN: Say it, if you know.
BUTTERFLY: Rumpelstilstkin! Gotcha!
UNICORN: I should know better than to expect a silly butterfly to know my
name.
BUTTERFLY: One, two, three o'lairy!
UNICORN: Butterfly, in all your wanderings, have you seen others like me?
Have you seen even one?
BUTTERFLY: Oh, have you seen the muffin man, the muffin man, the muffin
man?
UNICORN: Butterfly, even one? Tell me that you saw only one?
BUTTERFLY: One? One alone, to be my own... [Up goes downwind, up go
down!] Go and catch a falling star...
UNICORN: It serves me right for even asking you. All butterflies know are
songs and poetry and anything else they hear. I guess you mean well. Fly
away, butterfly.
BUTTERFLY: Oh, I must take the A train, oh, I am a cook and a captain bold
and the mate of the Nancy brig. Has anybody here seen Kelly?
UNICORN: I hope you hear many more songs. I must find someone who
knows me, who has seen others like me.
BUTTERFLY (serious voice): "Unicorn". Old French, "unicorne". Latin,
"unicornis". Literally, one horned: "unus", one, and "cornu", a horn. A
fabulous animal resembling a horse with one horn. Visible only to those
who search and trust, and generally mistaken for a white mare. Unicorn.
UNICORN: Oh, you do know me! Please, all I want to know is if you've seen
other unicorns like me, somewhere in the world.
BUTTERFLY: See you later, alligator! Close cover before striking!
