As we approach the completion of the Raw Footage series, Alerith and I will be compositing those videos into succinct back-to-back slideshows in this thread. Each only about 2 minutes long. I think these slideshows will be the easiest to convey to a general/public audience or to anyone really. "Seeing" the pattern comes easiest in this format, i think.
This is essentially a qualitative* approach, but done so with a level of formalization. The aim is to pick up the essential, nonverbal quality running behind the samples and common to all.
Hope you enjoy!
The next series will be side-to-side comparisons. So for example, the NeFi slideshow on top and an NeTi slideshow below, demonstrating the differences in their vultology in an immediate glance. This will be especially helpful for visual readers as a quick/easy reference to go to when trying to decide between two types.
* After talking to Amsterdam about academic practices, I'll be using the term "qualitative vultology" going forward in order formalize CT with present scientific terminology. But for those familiar, this is essentially twin shades clustering, also called "abstract" vultology or "qualia" based reading.
