OK, here’s one final attempt at a definitive (I hope!) CT video. If anyone has any thoughts on these, I’d be most grateful. I’ve embedded the videos in a separate thread linked below, but you can comment on this thread. If it’s OK I’d prefer if folks not post images or .gifs here. Everything else is fine.
The questions I’m most curious about are:
--What appears to be my dominant energetic quadrant?
--Are my Fe and/or Ne conscious or subconscious?
Auburn Alerith commakaze Zweilous
Background: previous vids
I made two videos before, eight or nine months ago. The first one showed lots of Ti and Si, with reviser energy. Auburn initially thought TiNe but decided on SiFe-Ti. The second video I looked like an Ne-lead with heavy Si. So I’m fairly sure I’m either an NeTi with heavy Si, or an SiFe with Ti that came into consciousness before Fe. For a long time I was thinking NeTi-Si seemed much more likely, but lately I’ve been thinking maybe it’s SiFe after all. For one thing, it seems like I relate to some of the SiFe samples quite a bit, moreso than with the NeTi ones. But I really don’t have a clear idea either way, and I haven’t ever put in the time to methodically learn the signals or VR. So my opinion on any of the vultology is of limited use, and I wouldn’t be at all surprised either way.
I didn’t keep those two earlier videos, and I sort of wish I had them around for reference. On the other hand, I don’t think either one is very good for giving an accurate sense of my energetic quadrant. I especially don’t trust the first one, for two reasons:
1.) Before I made the video, I carefully thought through what I wanted to say and had a pretty clear idea about it. I kinda think that while I was talking, I was constantly having to prevent myself from veering off onto tangents because I didn’t want the video to get too long. So it was really lacking in much spontaneity. (I hadn’t yet gotten the memo about talking off the cuff, answering random questions, etc.)
2.) Looking back, I think I was going through a period of depression at the time I made it, and I so I bet the predominance of my introverted functions is at least a bit exaggerated.
The unreliability of that first video is one of the reasons I’ve never felt completely convinced about being an SiTi. The second one was a little bit better, but I still had a certain idea or narrative I was trying to follow and convey—it wasn’t all that impromptu either. By contrast with the first video, I feel like I was more toward the higher end of my normal energy level in the second one, maybe just a hair toward the more manic side. So I don’t know if either one is the most representative sample of what I’m usually like. But I feel like my energy level/mood fluctuates quite a bit, so I don’t know if I’ll ever get a perfectly representative sample.

There are a few bits missing from this video I’m posting: the first few minutes didn’t come through at all and the last few seconds were cut off cuz it maxed out in size. There was also a little bit I deliberately cut out in the middle: one of the questions asked if I have any tattoos and I showed one that I have on my shoulder…but I decided I didn’t feel like including that. It’s only like 30 seconds and I don’t think it will skew it either way.
Where the video starts I’m answering a question something like, “what were you into when you were a kid.” As it begins I’m describing how at the age of 6 or 7 I was fascinated by big cities, tall buildings, geography.
I couldn’t get the CT website to load on my phone so I Googled up a different set of random questions. I guess maybe I should have done it interactively with someone else asking the questions…I didn’t really think about it till after I’d made it & uploaded it. For the most part I think it seems reasonably natural, except for a few bits here & there, like there’s a few questions where I grimace a bit as I’m reading them. And the one where it asks me to describe myself in three words, I think I don’t quite seem natural there. But for the most part I think it’s fine. One strength of this video is that it shows a decent amount of fluctuation between calm and more energized, rather than just being in one mode or the other.

I’ve included one more bonus video. This is a compilation of short clips I’ve found around here & there that I appear in. I’m hoping this might be helpful just for a little bit of extra context, but I would use some caution toward it. A lot of them are political stuff, and in most of them I’m speaking to an audience in some form or another. So keep in mind that in a lot of them I’m more tense/nervous/worked-up than normal, and a few of them might over-represent my Fe a bit. All of these are pretty off-the-cuff, except the one where I talk about Denali (the highest mountain in Alaska), which was for an interview I did with an art student. She wanted a one minute clip or whatever, and as I recall we did a few takes of it. So it was still quasi-spontaneous, but more in premeditated way that my first few type me videos were.
