I don't know what I will eventually attain, but still...
Hello ladies and gentlemen!
Lately I've been learning about CT and astrology also. Me and my friends actively discuss about the relationship between these two systems - one is empirical and the other esoteric, but as Jung once wrote:
"Since you want to know my opinion about astrology I can tell you that I've been interested in this particular activity of the human mind since more than 30 years. As I am a psychologist, I am chiefly interested in the particular light the horoscope sheds on certain complications in the character. In cases of difficult psychological diagnosis I usually get a horoscope in order to have a further point of view from an entirely different angle. I must say that I very often found that the astrological data elucidated certain points which I otherwise would have been unable to understand. From such experiences I formed the opinion that astrology is of particular interest to the psychologist, since it contains a sort of psychological experience which we call 'projected' - this means that we find the psychological facts as it were in the constellations."
I do agree with him and the human potential which astrology provides gives a large amount of information about human psyche and it's potential. I mean, I'm really interested what do vultologists think about astrology and it's relations with the Cognitive Type (I'm looking forward to read the article on site which is still locked cognitivetype.com/2017/12/15/ive-surveyed-typology-and-found-it-no-different-than-astrology/ )
I've also discovered, that air and fire signs have extraverted element in them and earth, water signs have introverted one. Also, my friend assumes that with the natal chart we can guess person's cognitive type. I've read about the twin study and twins also have the same placements in the natal chart (except, they might have different ascendant signs and house placements but ascendants will conjunct each other anyways). This coincidence might also affect twins' cognitive types. or not. I'm not sure.
I understand that the empirical method is strictly dissented from esoteria. However you have written about myths related to cognitive types. Will astrology be useful to use as mythology?
I feel it sounds dilettantic. However my post is just an assumption and a wonder. I do have some discoveries about the relationship between typology and astrology, and if it helps, I can share them with you.
Thanks!
