He's a BBC journalist - I doubt anyone here will know him, but I wanted to make a thread nonetheless because he stood out to me as an FiNe and I wanted to know whether I was correct.
i'm leaning towards SiFe. His Si scowl and blinking seemed to be a constant throughout the video, and rather than disengage down my impression was that it was down and to the sides in Pi-lead fashion. He doesnt offer much in way of smiles but his soft speech delivery as well as sensitive head nods cause me to think Fe. I didn't note much for Ne eye toggles.

I agree with FiNe for all the reasons you said. Very pained expression indeed and airy voice.
As for his hardcore use of Si, well, it seems there's a brand of JiPe people who appear to use more the "tertiary" function than their support. We talked about it a lot in the forum because some forumers (like FiSe @morsecode and TiSe ayoungspirit) thought they used more their pi function than pe. Until now I thought it were just some JiSes who exhibited more Ni than Se, but apparently it's true for JiNes too with Si... Since they're more "at ease" with their introverted functions. I think this pattern maybe true for all the types (and "extroverts" using more their extroverted functions).
I got all the same functions as you John Doe but i'm leaning towards SiTe. His Si scowl and blinking seemed to be a constant throughout the video, and rather than disengage down my impression was that it was down and to the sides in Pi-lead fashion. I did note some Fi face tension but considering the content of his speech(having been kidnapped in Gaza and having his life threatened) I felt like he expressed very little Fi emotional tension leading me to Te>Fi. He did have some subtle blunt Te head nods and brow raises but they were so subtle that I dont place much weight on them. I didn't note much for Ne eye toggles.
He does indeed use a ton of Si according to his visual cues, but I think he's still face-centric, quite rigid in posture, and has that signature airy Fi articulation and pained expression, so I don't think he could be a Pi lead. I thought his Te use was much too light to be above Fi - there isn't much impact at all in his gestures - they're very gentle, and he quickly recedes back into himself in Fi>Te fashion. Going back to the Larin series videos for FiNe and SiTe, he seems to have a lot more in common with the former than the latter, in my opinion. The SiTe samples have a more assured, assertive, and deadpan demeanour, while the FiNe samples look a lot more anxious, gentle, and childlike. It's all very subjective, and sometimes certain signals can throw me off, so I try as much as possible to read in a holistic way, taking in the overall vibe a person gives off. Hope you agree.

It does seem like a recurring theme in VR, and it doesn't surprise me at all, either - makes sense that a very introverted/extroverted person would have a significant imbalance towards the inner or outer half of their psyche. It's a notion that has a lot of personal resonance for me, being extremely introverted, and having such high Ti usage that I was nearly typed as a TiSe. Growing up, I don't feel like I used much Fe or Se, but I've always identified a lot more with Ni and Ti, being the sort of person who spends a lot of time in my own head. If you've ever watched any videos by Coach from Pod'Lair (I know they're nuts, but still ), he goes into a great deal of depth about this in regards to NiFe, coining the term "faux zen" for high Ti usage. The NiFe profile page on CT has a similar concept - it's not complete yet, but if you scroll down, one of the archetypes listed is "The Pseudo-Ti", which I'm guessing was inspired by Coach's insights.
It'll be interesting to see how this irregular function usage manifests in other types. Coach reckons it's got something to do with environmental pressure in the case of the NiFe; Ni and Fe aren't very "practical" functions, and can be undervalued in everyday life, which forces the NiFe to develop hardcore use of Ti as a coping mechanism at a very young age, using it as a means to calibrate their behaviour and survive in a hostile environment. He theorizes that this is why a lot of NiFe mistype as NiTe, which used to be the case for me when I was first learning Jungian typology. Anyway, I realise I've gone way off topic now - just some food for thought. Sometimes I feel like I'm putting way too much effort into learning a system that might be completely wrong, but damn it, there has to be something to it!
